Elizabeth Gilbert was born in Waterbury, United States on July 18, 1969. She is an American author, essayist, short story writer, biographer, novelist and memoirist. She is best known for Eat, Pray, Love which spent 199 weeks on the New York Times best seller list. Gilbert earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from New York University in 1991. Elizabeth Gilbert wrote two Novels named Stern Men and The Signature of All Things. Gilbert’s first book Pilgrims received the Pushcart Prize and was a finalist for the Hemingway Award.
