Author Biography

David Stephen Mitchell was born on January 12, 1969 in Southport England. He was educated at Hanley Castles High Scholl and at the University of Kent where he obtained a degree in English and American Literature followed by an M.A. in Comparative Literature. He is an English Novelist. He has written new novels like Cloud Atlas, Ghost Written, Black Swan Green and Number 9 Dream. His two novels number9dream and Cloud Atlas, were shortlisted for the Booker Prize. In 2003, he was selected as one of Granta’s Best of Young British Novelists. In 2007, Mitchell was listed among Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in The World. David Mitchell Novel Ghostwritten moves around the globe and won the john Llewwllyn Rhys Prize.
